You can’t just use Google to find and download the photo you want. That is an illegal move and you can be sued for using photos that you aren’t allowed to use. If you don’t have a permission, using copyrighted photos can cause you huge legal problems. For example, if you are profiting from your blog or website, the copyright photo holders can file a complaint known as DMCA complaint and your website or blog could be removed and banned from the search engines.

Beyond the royalty-free photo collections, there are a lot of stock photography websites that allow you to use their photos free of charge. All you have to do is to give a source link back. One of those websites is Flickr. If you want to use a photo for business or commercial projects you need to give credit to the owner of the photograph.

Flickr is a popular and image sharing site where random people upload their photos and add in a license. You can find some great photos on Flickr by using the advanced search option and you will discover photos based on their license. Let’s suppose that you want to search for photos with CC license or Creative Commons license. This license will allow you to use the photo for commercial and noncommercial projects.

So, in order to find a photo you need, go to Flickr and enter the keyword for your photo search. Once you will enter the keyword, you need to click on the dropdown menu and select “All creative commons”. By choosing this option, you will have access to every photo that you are allowed to use (if you give a backlink to the original photo, of course). If you want to use a photo for business or commercial projects you need to choose the option “Commercial use allowed”, if you want to edit and modify the photo, you need to choose the option “Modifications allowed”, and etc. There is an option for every need of yours.

If you are just using the photo to make your current website or blog more attractive or exciting, you will have to search for the ones that are under CC license and give credit to the source. It means that you need to mention the name of the photographer, as well as, a link to the main source. This is the only way you are allowed to use the photos that fall under Creative Commons license.

Before you use a certain photo on your blog or website we highly recommend you to check the license. Don’t ever use a non-commercial photo for a business or commercial purpose. If you are not sure, read the Creative Commons FAQ and discover more information! For more pictures to download, check this :  https://burst.shopify.com/love
